Seppo Keränen
Born in 1947, Seppo Keränen is a telephone master and nature photographer based in Pori. His work captures the beauty of coastal wetlands and the archipelago. Keränen has previously exhibited works on wetland ecosystems and co-authored the book Kosteikko – maata, vettä ja elämää (Wetlands – Land, Water, and Life, 1979) with Kari Sorveri. Additionally, he has held solo exhibitions, including one focused on maritime flora. His images have been widely published in nature-related books, textbooks, calendars, and postcards. Keränen is currently working on a book about the Finnish archipelago in collaboration with Arno Rautavaara.
Arno Rautavaara
Born in 1947, Arno Rautavaara is a nature photographer and photo editor based in Helsinki. His work spans the Finnish archipelago, various biotopes, wildlife, and flora from across the country. Rautavaara has served as managing director and editor for Molekyyli magazine at the Finnish Nature League. He contributed as a photo editor to the monumental series Suomen Luonto 1-5 (Nature of Finland, completed in 1981) and co-authored Luonnonvalokuvauksen käsikirja (The Handbook of Nature Photography, 1981). His photographs have been featured in books, magazines, posters, calendars, and postcards. Rautavaara has been the chair of the Finnish Nature Photographers Association since 1978.
