Pori Art School 20th Anniversary Exhibition is on display in the large exhibition hall of the Pori Art Museum. The exhibition features works from every student currently studying beyond the first year at the school. Additionally, invited artists Leena Harhaluoma, Jorma Lahti, Jouni Lehtinen, Henry Merimaa, Markku Mäkelä, Lea Mäkilä, Soili Pitkälä, Armas Rintala, and Sinikka Santikko are participating.

Instead of reflecting on the first decade of the school’s twenty-year history, the exhibition focuses on showcasing contemporary works. It also includes the latest pieces from alumni who have already graduated.

Founded in 1966 under the administration of a support association, the Pori Drawing School became a municipal institution and was renamed Pori Art School. It operates under the Cultural Board’s Visual Arts Division as an evening school. The school offers three main study years with an optional fourth year.
