THE ART OF BANKS AND CABINETS, A SELECTION OF ART FROM THE SUOMEN SÄÄSTÖPANKKI COLLECTION IN SATAKUNTA

In the Small Hall, a selection of works from the Suomen Säästöpankki collection, deposited at the Pori Art Museum, is on display. A total of 60 works were transferred to the museum as part of its role as the regional art museum of the Satakunta region. The exhibition features 23 pieces, nearly half of which represent Satakunta-based art.

Among the oldest works in the collection are Riverside Landscape (1921) by Mikko Carlstedt, Nude Boy (1916) by Emil Danielsson, and Landscape (1927) by Into Linturi. In addition to Linturi, Satakunta artists represented include Aarne Elomaa, Anja Karkku-Hohti, Ensio Lamberg, Juhani Tarna, and Immo Tuominen.
