KAREL MALICH & FEDERICO DÍAZ

Karel Malich has worked since the end of 1950´s, dealing with the landscape and the cosmos. Drawings, sketched by only few lines, abstract material collages and complex filigree sculptures of wire demonstrate his constant examination of existential phenomena. Malich has functioned as Federico Díaz´s teacher and mentor. Since the 1990´s, Díaz has used new media to reveal immaterial aspects of everyday reality of our natural environment, which are elusive through primary human sences. Díaz´s work is typified by the language of algorithmically-generated art and systems art, which states that art is created without the touch of the human hand.
