SHADED BY LIGHT – Free Art School
The summer exhibition of the Pori Art Museum is entitled FREE ART SCHOOL – SHADED BY LIGHT. It is a painterly triptych whose centrepoint, raison d´être, is the show entitled MAIRE GULLICHSEN AND MODERNISM AS SEEN BY THE FREE ART SCHOOL, to be mounted in the Project Room. The contemporary take on cultural heritage presented in the Project Room is intricarely woven a review of work by the most renowned artists to teach in the Free Art School during this century, and a series of five exhibitions entitled TRAVELLING – EVOLVING SITUATIONS AND SPACES, presenting work by students of the Free Art Svhool class of 2007–2008.
