CAST – Vesa-Pekka Rannikko
Vesa-Pekka Rannikko (born Turku, 1968) usually makes his sculptures with tinted plaster. The basic ingredients of his work are materials and their combinations, and the exploration of light as an element that defines both shape and place. Another topic explored by Rannikko is the essence of colour when it appears in a physical form. In the Pori Art Museum, Rannikko will use the Project Room itself as one element of his installation, disrupting its clinical, unbroken impression.
