BOREALIS V, NORDIC ART BIENNALE
The Nordic Art Biennale, BOREALIS, is being hosted this year in Finland as a collaboration between the Nordic Art Center and the Pori Art Museum.
This is the fifth exhibition in the BOREALIS series. Previous exhibitions were held at the Nordic Art Center in Suomenlinna in 1983, the Henie-Onstad Art Center in Oslo in 1985, the Malmö Art Hall in 1987, and the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Denmark in 1989.
BOREALIS 5 features works by seven invited artists. Representing the Nordic countries are Per Barclay from Norway, Kristjan Gudmundsson from Iceland, Anita Jørgensen from Denmark, Marja Kanervo from Finland, and Annette Senneby from Sweden. Additionally, the exhibition includes renowned international artists Michelangelo Pistoletto from Italy and Miroslaw Balka from Poland.
