Metsän sylissä [In the woods]
Spring exhibition of children and youngsters from Pori Art School. Free admission!
An experiential installation reminiscent of mosses and the mysterious forest. Amidst tree houses, forest dwellers and a variety of animals, the atmosphere is complemented by soundscape of nature.
The exhibition offers a rich collection of artwork created by students aged 4-19 using a variety of techniques.
The Pori Art School has been operating in the upstairs premises of the Art Museum since 1979, first as a private drawing school and since 1980 as a municipal school. In 1991, the school moved to its current premises in Gallen-Kallelankatu. In this way, the spring exhibition for children and young people at the art school brings the art forest back to its roots for a moment.
