Deposited collections
In addition to its own collections, Pori Art Museum manages several private collections deposited to the museum. These collections contain approximately 700 pieces in total. The collections consist of both Finnish and international contemporary art and complement the museum collections in a significant manner.
The Deposit Collection of Katariina and Juhani Lipsanen
The Collection of Katariina and Juhani Lipsanen was deposited to Pori Art Museum between 1994 and 1996 and it consists of 113 works. The collection is built around Finnish and international constructivist art. Most of the works in the collection are from the 1980s.
The Deposit Collection AJ
The AJ Collection was deposited to Pori Art Museum in 2001 and it currently consists of over 550 works. The collection contains mainly Finnish art from the 1960s to the present day, and works are actively added into the collection.
The Finnish Saving’s Bank Collection
The Finnish Saving’s Bank Collection was deposited to Pori Art Museum by The Finnish National Gallery. The collection consists of 60 artworks from the 20th century created by artists who worked in the Satakunta region.
