Children’s Programme
Our exhibitions offer experiences and wonders for the whole family. Children under the age of seven should be accompanied by an adult. Language in the workshops is Finnish but non-Finnish speakers can get quidance in English.
Admission to the Art Museum is free for children under 18!

Tähtihetkiä backpacks in Pori Museums
You can borrow a Tähtihetkiä-backpack full of activities to take with you to the exhibitions. Loaning is free of charge. The backpacks have been produced with the support of the Pori Children and Youth Protection Foundation. Check out the backpacks at other Pori Museums as well!

The booklet includes small activities and tips what you can do together during your museum visit.
Hands on zone!
In the large exhibition Hall there is a work place open to all! The materials on display are available to all museum visitors. Please note that there are sometimes guided groups of visitors working at the desk.

Visiting the art museum
- Please walk around the exhibition spaces calmly and without touching the artworks. It’s ok to chat, wonder, cry and laugh in our museum.
- The exhibitions are located on the first floor and it is easy to move around with the trolleys/strollers.
- The workshop space on the second floor is accessible by stairs and lift.
- You can borrow a baby carrier or a stroller.
- Baby changing stations are located in the restrooms on both floors.
- Breastfeeding is possible in the cafeteria.
- Not all exhibitions may be suitable for children, so please check the museum’s website for more information and ask the customer service staff. However, there is always something to see and experience for all ages.
